Body of Lies
watched this last night. never been a fan of DiCaprio's but i have to admit his movies (blood diamond, the departed, catch me if you can) have been quite good recently. this 1s about CIA/terrorist stuff set in the middle east with a good blend of action and suspence. sad that Hollywood Chihuahua actually made more $$ at the box office than this movie (what?). this 1 gets 4 out of 5 from me.

007
watched the new 007 movie yesterday. its the 2nd 007 by Daniel Craig. he is ok, but my impression of james bond is some1 thats cool, suave and charming. Daniel Craig is built like a bull, a rambo-style hitman. and the body count in this movie is very high too, coz he kills every enemy in his way. kill first, talk later. i still prefer Pierce Brosnan. anyway, this 1s still a decent fast-paced action movie. 3 out of 5 popcorns from me.

speaking of Pierce Brosnan, his 1st james bond movie was Golden Eye in 1995... its my 1st movie with cat on Christmas eve 13years ago (not exactly a romantic movie for a 1st date though)... how time flies :)

to all the Uncle Bobs & Cousin Joes out there
sometimes family and friends at a wedding can get over enthusiastic with taking photos they don't realise they are ruining it for the bride and groom. advanced camera equipment are so cheap now anyone at a wedding with an SLR thinks that they are Mike Colon or Joe Buissink.
this is certainly not a case of "the more the merrier" as most people would think.
yes, more cameras = more photos. but why would any1 want tonnes of photos that all look the same? worse still, all the photos also captured the other wannabe-photographers in action. I have yet to exercise a clause in my contract to ban ALL professional/semi-professional equipment use at a wedding. but with recent experiences, i have a feeling it won't be long before i actually do.
too many cooks spoil the soup.
so, just leave it to the pro. (thats the reason why you pay him rite?)
oh ya, this may apply to the ever-helpful sisters too... leave the train alone. photos of a not-so-straight-all-the-time train is better than photos of sisters bending down behind the bride in every photo. anyway, if i am taking photos infront of the bride, it doesnt really matter how the train looks coz it cant be seen.

weekend roundup
Art and Ellen Sanborn visited church again last sunday. Art is a walking miracle. A surfing accident left him a quadriplegic (think Steve "Superman" Reeves) but look at him now. See his story here. Ellen has great vocals, her singing reminded me of old disney cartoons.
Art gave sermon on life and death coz Pastor Kenny's mother past away last week. but thank God she's a believer. worship on sunday touched me strongly. dunno why but although i have listened to this song so many times, it still melts my heart.
after service we went to vivo for lunch. took this when we drove passed the flyer. wonder how they got that pumpkin balloon up there...

Eirik's driving Lesson 101
- Slow does not = Safe.
- driving a better car does not make you a better driver.
- Good cars mask poor driving skills.
- straight roads are for fast cars, corners are for fast drivers.
- oops.... sorry i wasnt taking about you
